The Inspiring and Sustainable Kratom Farming Model

Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is an evergreen tree in the coffee family that is native to the rain-forests of Southeast Asia.

Its leaves have been used by indigenous people for hundreds of year for its medicinal substance.

Mitragyna speciosa has over 40 active alkaloid components.

Alkaloid components act as reservoirs for protein synthesis.

Examples include substances against the animal or insect attacks or hormones may function as plant stimulants or regulators in activities like growth, metabolism and reproduction.

The high alkaloid components are created by the acidic soil of the region where the plant is nourished by volcanic materiel, lots of water, warm temps and wet humid weather that is found along the equator.

Kratom farming has been a tradition in Southeast Asia and it is much different than Western agriculture in that it has a more holistic approach for family and the environment.

Kratom farmers use a mix of wild tree cultivation and small backyard farms to supply the leaves they harvest.

This maintains the area’s biodiversity by leaving non-Kratom flora intact.

This also protects wildlife because they are not clear cutting massive fields for production of the Kratom plant.

Furthermore, this approach encourages fair trade because the business is kept in the family.

They are not mass hiring employees to work and harvest large fields while paying them pennies.

Kratom farming has been a big part of Southeast Asias farming community and most high-quality Kratom vendor resellers will only purchase directly from these farms.

Most reputable Kratom resellers support ethical, sustainable Kratom farming because they know that is the only way to get a high quality end product.

In the Western world we have a lot to learn from the way the people of Southeast Asia are harvesting the Kratom crop.

They focus on smaller, sustainable farm run by families and local villages.

These farms do less harm to the environment around them including animals, trees, and the entire eco system.

Paper and Timber production has caused a huge negative impact on our ecosystem by leaving large footprints of cut down forests, garbage and pollution.

In fact, the Sumatran Tiger is home to the Jungles of Indonesia as well as a variety of animals not seen anywhere else in the world.

The people of Southeast Asia value and want to preserve the beautiful jungles.

Therefore, Kratom has been done by Backyard Farmers and continues to be done this way even today.

This is done by planting kratom seedlings in the backyards of those who live along the riverbank in the jungle.

The kratom trees grow as part of a diverse ecosystem of plants that can shade and nourish each other, not forced into an environment by a man made setup.

By going about kratom farming in a 100% sustainable way, Kratora is leading the way in ethical and sustainable kratom production and we have a lot to learn from the ancestors who have been doing it to many years.

There is a reason why Kratom has been in such high demand lately all over the world.

People are discovering its many benefits which include weight loss, substitute for opioids or an aid for those trying to overcome and opioid addiction, health benefits, and more.
